That would be a dream vacation, Boris. I would love to see your homeland and hopefully will be able to get there one day in the near future. You are too kind for that offer. Until then, we look forward to seeing you both in this country. And we owe you dinner next time you are in town.

I agree whole heartedly that we will always be good friends forever.

We are so thankful for you two !!

Ming Shen  @ 15/06/2021 08:06:57

Hi Boris,

Sean and I wanted to thank you for our adventurous one week vacation in Vegas kindly provided by you. The location of Flamingo, being nearly at the center of the Strip, is marvelous. This is the first time both of us ever been to Vegas! What a great place to watch all sorts of people, and to sample some interesting restaurants with famous names. We had a blast! No windfall in casino, though. Still have to watch our pocketbooks.

Mirage is an aptly named casino, to a degree it describes Vegas well. You build, they will come. The people were shoulder-to-shoulder everywhere on the Strip, young and old, a very popular place.

It reminds me of your philosophy, we have to create products for people who may not know they have a need for it.

Thanks again for an interesting and pleasurable experience.

Good morning, Mr. Boris Miksic:

I just wanted to take a moment to reach out and say thank you so much for the Employee of the Year Award and trip. It means a great deal to have my work recognized and your generosity, with the gift of a trip is above and beyond for an employer. Please know that this trip is very much appreciated by myself and my girlfriend who will be joining me. Honestly, it’s hard to tell who’s more excited and she insisted I thank you for her too!

Dear Boris,

congratulations to your team. It is truly a great success and a great reference for the future. My suggestion, record the initial state of the condition of the reinforcement and monitor it once a year. In this way, you can enter the history of both the profession and the sciences in civil engineering. You have the knowledge and staff for that, and my colleagues from the FCE (Marijana, Ana, ...) can also get involved. I am always happy to remember our common achievements (eg Sika) and the time spent with you and your family

Dario Dell’Orto  @ 24/05/2021 08:05:41
Dear Boris and Ines,

Paola and I want to reiterate our sincere gratitude especially, and above all, the true friendship that we share together. Let me mention that it started from the very first moment when on a Saturday morning in November 1998 you gave me a tour of the White Bear plant, including an unforgettable espresso! Now, after more than 20 years, the same professional and personal friendship continues unchanged and I am completely sure it will continue forever. The four of us are aware of the challenges that are ahead of us -- in the same way that there were behind us. But we faced and kept moving in the best way we could and -mostly important- in the right direction.

No matter what the new future will hold for us, please rest assured that we will remain always at your side. These 20+ years of our common experience are too important and too good, and I have no embarrassment to say that -- besides my family -- you have been among the 2-3 most important people in my entire working and personal life. And this I will always highly value.

Therefore this private message outside the company’s eyes is not only a ‘thank you’ for the special evening we spent together, but it is a heartfelt thank you for what you have allowed us to build together along this victorious way.

God bless and protect you, dear Boris and Ines, we do -- and we will never stop -- love you so that no matter in which corner of the world it could be, we will seek to meet again and continue to enjoy our mutual company

Grazie Boris and Ines

Dario and Paola

I can't tell you how touched I was by your inscription to me in your book. I will cherish it forever. You have been an extraordinary client and good friend for so many years. I am truly grateful for our partnership and our friendship. You have given me incredible opportunities to work with you and to see your business thrive and grow under your wise leadership. I could not be more honored and proud. In all years I have been practicing law, I think the NTIC victory is perhaps my favorite: the stakes were so incredibly high, you exhibited nerves of steel in going to trial, you trusted me to defend your honor, and you achieved utter and total victory against your bitter enemy. I'm excited to see the next chapter in your amazing adventure!

Your friend forever,

Stenmoe Gregory  @ 28/02/2021 09:02:02

Amazing and innovative things just keep coming from Cortec, bravo!

Daniel Paskvalic  @ 10/02/2021 10:02:28

Once again it is the demonstration of your vision and your talent. I once told you that I considered you as a Bill Gates, in the business world of corrosion. Today I think you are Elon Musk.

You make reality what others say can't be,

Stenmoe Gregory  @ 10/02/2021 09:02:02

Nice article! Yes, thanks to those “real idiots”, lots of hard work and smart business decisions, you have been blessed beyond equal!

Jim Holden  @ 10/02/2021 09:02:39

An excellent article on initiative and being focused on a goal. Not many people can tell the boss to get lost and then show them what a success you became. It has been a pleasure knowing and working for you and Cortec over the years. Looking forward to the future.

Daniel Paskvalic  @ 05/02/2021 10:02:28

Dear Boris and Ines,

I am very happy with this recognition of the talent and creativity of Ines ... I share the joy and pride that both have!

With my kindest regards

Dario Dell'Orto  @ 01/02/2021 12:02:43
Dear Boris,

Your kind words are deeply appreciated. Is a noble gesture of genuine integrity. And, thru the so many chapters of life, you know as I do, that this kind of person are very...very rare. Thus, I also owe you a big thanks

Since the first day I always felt good because of our working relationship and personal friendship based on mutual esteem, honesty, loyalty. And, these 20+ years have enriched -day by day- this relationship and friendship. I very much understand the emotions and frustrations because we are all human beings and often I feel inside myself the very same frustrations not being able to improve the results, to deliver what is expected.

But tomorrow is a new day, we raise our head and go back into the daily fight committed to do better all time.

Again, a personal and sincere thanks, dear Boris, for your understanding, patience and -no matter what- continued support. And, since we come from the same world and same generation I sincerely express my unended gratitude by working with you, the right person, the right company and the right friend

With Paola a big hug to you and Ines

Peter Begich  @ 26/01/2021 09:01:46
Congrats Boris and thank you for sharing.

Along with your visionary and leadership strength, certainly it is paying off after many challenges both past and present. These sales and margins number growth are exemplary despite pandemic and logistic issues.

Hello Boris,

I would like to say Thank you so very much for the Chairman’s award! I am very honored to be one of the people chosen! Very happy to be a part of the “Cortec Family”! I look forward to a great year ahead in 2021! I think of you often, and hope both you and Ines are staying healthy. I have your mom in my thoughts, as well. It’s so difficult to not be able to physically be with family! Can’t wait for the day I will be able to hug my mom, again!

Thanks again, Boris!

Jason Rowe  @ 14/01/2021 03:01:09

This afternoon Angie informed me that I am one of the recipients of the Chairman’s Award for this year. Thank you for selecting me as one of those individuals receiving this award.

This is an unexpected surprise, its still sinking in, however I wanted to say thank you.

I hope you and your family are staying safe, and that the world improves so that I can thank you in person the next time you are back at White Bear Lake.

Have a great week.

Steven Cartlidge  @ 07/01/2021 03:01:23
Excellent information Boris. Cortec always provides high quality technical data. It is one of the many hallmarks of a great company.

Dear Boris,

Thank you very much for the Christmas bonus, what a surprise! It is much appreciated.

You guys are AMAZING!!!!

Boris, you do realize that, with all of the high end waterfront living going on around here and the EXTREMELY HIGH COST OF SEAWALLS, (most of which are in a state of deterioration because they are so expensive to replace), you could essentially reinvent the entire market with your product??? The average expected life of a seawall is 30 years, give or take. This article says your proprietary product makes them last 5 TIMES AS LONG.

I’m just saying……You have accomplished so many brilliant proprietary inventions, fortification of seawalls to last 5 times longer would be HUGE, both for homeowners, developers, not to mention major general infrastructure projects ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AND WORLD!!

I know that the circumstances that brought you to me were less than ideal with that nasty litigation with trashy greedy people, but I have to say, even though I consider that one of my biggest legal losses of my career to date, it turned out to be one of the best gains of my career in that I gained the two of you in my life forever. I really treasure our professional relationship and friendship. I love you both so much and wish you a very very happy holiday!!

Mark Bergin  @ 18/12/2020 10:12:37
Hi Boris, Nice to hear from you. I will forward this news release to my editor to see if this is something we're interested in covering. I'll follow up with you if we want to pursue a story. Thanks for sharing this with me. Happy holidays to you and Ines as well!

Jorge Flores  @ 16/12/2020 03:12:33
