Dear Boris,

Congratulations on being named as one of nine small business success stories in 2006 by Twin Cities Business publications. I read your article with interest.

First, I live in the White Bear/Mahtomedi area, and I love it. Second, I really enjoyed the button you were wearing in the photograph "I Love Rust". It caught my eye, as that represents the essence of my business.

Dear Boris, It's Nick from Polar in White Bear Lake. Its been a while since we last spoke, You inspired me with your story of how you have become who you are today, and I myself have taken some major steps towards my goals of success in business. I was checking my emails when I decided to check out your web page again and came across this comment page. Not quite sure if you check this or will ever be able to answer back knowing you are very busy. I just wanted to let you know I enjoyed reading your book, and it is an inspiration to all hardworking men with the desire to see a positive change in this world. Thanks again for the opportunity to do business with you. I look forward to the next time we may speak again. I remember you mentioned an office located in my hometown of Pusan, South Korea, and you also speak of your business relations in your book;If you ever need an open-minded Korean/English speaking business associate, contact me. It was a pleasure doing business with you. Enjoy your Holiday season my friend and Take care! Nicholas Lee [email protected]

Hello Mr. Miksic, Much time has passed since we were last in contact. I hope you and your family are well. Many thanks to you and the staff for the package including the DVD and material. It's very nice how the campaign team has kept in touch. It was a pleasure canvassing for you in Ontario. But I am saddened by the lack of voter turnout. Many of us here still have very high hopes for you and if there is anything we can do to help, please let us know. The newspaper The Croatian Chronicle has been a major supporter and I am wondering if Matica magazine has written about you? Please let us know. It may take more time, but you have to eventually be chosen in a major role to shape Croatian politics. Things can't remain as they are. A number of my friends who are former soldiers are extremely upset and feel helpless. People need a wake up call back home and abroad! Many thanks and let me know if you need further assistance abroad. All the best, Erica Zlomislic

Dear Boris,
A simple thank you hardly expresses my sincere appreciation for your generous efforts to bring the super Zagreb dancers to Duluth, MN, and the Twin Cities. I have been to countless performances in our country and in Croatia. None can compare to this authentic group. Being a true Blooded Croatian I plan my tamburitza music at home and in my car.
May God bless you and your family and once again - "Fala Lijepa"

Sincerely,

Boris,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for sponsoring the Zagreb Folk Dance Ensemble performance at the Minnesota History Center on Friday evening, October 14, 2005.
I am one of the Ethnic Dance Theatre performers that was in attendance at the performance and I must tell you, it BLEW ME AWAY! What an amazing group of artists! I am truly inspired and can understand your passion & pride for the Croatian heritage the group displayed.
BRAVO for your support of the troupe and thank you so much for sharing them with the rest of us.

Sincerely,
Lynn M. Petros-Winn

this man is the meaning, the definition of freedom for croatia. if you believe in the individual strengths of croatia this man is the go to guy. Boris Miksic is the purest form of real compassion for the croatian people. he not only understands the true meaning of being compassionate for the people of his country but he understands the true meaning of being a leader. just think of the possibilities for croatia with this man in control. limitless...

Postavani Gospodin Miksic,

I'd like to thank you for this opportunity to communicate to you in regards to your political aspirations in Croatia, for Croatians and its future.

My reason for this email, is to show my support for your new Croatia. I am a Croatian, born of Croatian parents, born, and brought up in Australia. Though i have been brought up in the Australian culture and its aspirations, my parents always made it known to me that i am Croatian. That is why i care for it's future, and hopefully in the very near future, i too will be able to live in our homeland. I, with my family, have visited Croatia a number of times since 1991, but in the new decade, i have already been to Croatia already 3 times, and plan to be there in the near future. As circumstances have it, my father is buried in Zagreb.

I have completed a undergraduate degree majoring in Chemistry and Physics and a Masters degree in Chemistry , specializing in Solid phase micro-extraction. Since the death of my father 3 years ago, i have been managing the family transport business, LIKA transport, of which i am very proud of.

I feel with my knowledge i have plenty to offer our beautiful homeland. I would be grateful for any advice our opinion that you could offer me, on how to achieve my Australski San!

Thank you for you time and i look forward to hearing from you.

Puno pozdrava i uspjeha,
Tomislav Sostaric.

Gornik  @190.119.114.13 28/02/2005 09:02:16

Mr. Miksic:

I recently read you book. I found it very interesting and can see where it certainly can be an inspiration to anyone that reads it and can understand dreams, ambitions and hard work. I guess I found it especially interesting because my grandparents (Gornik) were form Yugoslavia/Slovenia; and I grew up on the Iron Range (specifically Ely – (you mentioned Jessica Dusich). I share your love and respect for Rudy (may he rest in peace) and Lola.

You book mafe me smile with pride – and I know you have made wonderful contribution to the world as a whole, and I am sure have touched and influenced many lives.

As additional background, I just got back from a long weekend in Ely where all the cousins went up to make sausage….quite a “happening”…a garage full of people, peeling, grinding, mixing….using an old wood burning stove/oven….something my dad did as a child with his folks and now we kids have taken over and passing down the next generation … we make it once a year – blood and potato! Ymmmmm!

Co-incidentally, I work for a law firm in Minneapolis –and know Len Levine…I just left him a voice message saying “Len, how many people have called you and said they saw your name in Boris Miksic's book?”

What a small world we live in!

Gail Gornik Server

Erica and Milka Zlomislic  @192.98.133.120 28/02/2005 09:02:45

Dear Mr. Miksic,

Please accept our congratulations on how well you did in the recent Croatian presidential elections. As a newcomer and to many an “outsider” you managed to overcome a media blockade, attempts by your opponents to discredit you and high apathy of votes. We are disappointed that you did not win and that the Diaspora was not as supportive as we would have hoped. But is was an honor and privilege to work for you here in Southern Ontario.

You had many supporters, unfortunately poor weather on the day of elections and lack of organization on the consulates part deterred many. We re heartbroken that you did not win as Croatia is in deed headeddown a very uncertain political and economic path. We hope that you will remain active in Croatia. If you should need further support or assistance we would be thrilled to help you.

Sincerely,Erica and Milka Zlomislic

P.S. at times we felt you were like this Atlas figure with so much pressure on you.

Daniel  @64.12.116.16 01/02/2005 09:02:29
Dear Boris, I have just arrived with Nico from our hollidays in Italy. My great congratulations for your extraordinary performance in the Croatian elections. I´m sure that you will be the future President of Croacia. From Ljubljana I followed up with special attention everything regarding Croatian elections, by TV and media, and talked with friends : all of them have the feeling that the Croatian process will conduce to a new political scenary : Croatia need a new man : I think that you are that man. I have some ideas for the future, and next week I will mail them to you. Friendly Daniel

Dear Boris, Congratulations on your perseverance; I also think as you do that you owe it to all Croats who voted for you and who placed confidence into your professional, honest, well structured plans for better Croatia.
