Dear Mr. Miksic,

We want to thank you for the opportunity you have given us to
work in your company as interns. This internship has been one of the
most important events that will in a certain way model our future
academic life.

Working in Cortec Corporation was more than pleasant. Our
coworkers were very friendly and eager to help in any way they could,
social and scientific. Working atmosphere was very seminally and
positive. What we particularly liked was team work that wasn't just
formal and that surprised us because it is not easy to achieve that
level of mutual respect. That is something we want to congratulate you
on as a leader of such organization.

We have gained so much from this experience. We learned how to
work in circumstances different from those we were used to. We felt
like we were part of Cortec's team and as ones we tried to contribute
to its growth. Working in Cortec was all about fun because we didn't
think of it as work. We loved our job, enjoyed doing it and were very
enthusiastic about it. We were given an opportunity not a lot of
people can get. To work in a world known company. To do something you
really like and want to do for the rest of your life. It was like a
dream come true.

We want to thank you again for this great opportunity. And we
want to thank our coworkers for their support and generosity. We hope
that you are satisfied with our work there and that we made
difference.

Yours sincerely,

                                      Ana Granic

Dear Boris, Congratulations on recently being named finalist for the Minnesota High Tech Association's prestigious Tekne Awards. Being in this elite group is an honor in and of itself, especially given the caliber of innovation represented this year.
We’ve decided nearly 25 years to helping businesses like Cortec Corporation gain the industry awareness and bottom-line success they deserve. Hence, we truly value the accomplishments and vision the Tekne honors – and you and your company’s merit for being recognized.
Again, congratulations!

As an entrepreneur embarking on another business adventure using Cortec technology I find it inspiring that Men and Woman even in this day are still able to live their dream of building for the future. It consoles me to same degree to think that the future can be positive on with the people like Mr. Miksic who push a head regardless of the risk to make this a better place. Bravo Mr. Miksic and the best to you and your team in all your future endeavors which I hope to be able to contribute some day. I remain,
James Thibault

I read your book a while ago and I wrote you a short letter, congratulating you on your success. ( Both my father's and my mother's parents came to Minnesota from Yugoslavia/Slovenia). They settled on the Iron Range in Minnesota... I am vey proud of my heritage and the strong work ethic they instilled.

In any event, I am simply writing today to express my sadness on the terrible accident that occured this morning in Winsconsin. I pray for the healing of the families, community and your compny.

Just FYI, Boochasmom is the name I use... we named or springer spaniel Boocha, which I was told meand "cabbage head" in Slovenian. He was dear!

Dear Boris,
Please accept my sincere gratitude for the wonderful trip and accommodations in Florida. It was great to get the opportunity to get to know you and the things you like doing. It was the experience of a lifetime. I have always wanted to take a cruise to the Florida Keys. Diving a coral reef has always been a goal since I was little and watched Jacque Cousteau on television. The weather conditions and visibility were ideal; it doesn’t get any better than they were. Little Palm Island was such an unexpected treat. It reminded me of the show, “Fantasy Island”. I kept expecting Tattoo to run out and yell, “De Boat, De boat”, when the classic Chris Craft came in with a new load of guests. Being “all alone” out at sea was really neat as well. It was wonderful to have the company of you and your lovely daughter for the dream vacation in the Keys. I am forever at your service should you need anything I can provide. I am always available should you need a hand with your boat electronics and such here in Minnesota. I will treasure the memories of the Keys and bring them with me on my upcoming deployment to Al Assad, Iraq.
Sincerely,
SPC. David B. Reker

Dear Boris, I will admit, I wasn't sure what Croatia would look like, and when I pictured Croatia I pictured a torn Eastern European state. But how wrong I was, my experience in Croatia was eye opening to say at least. I learned of the rich culture and history Croatia has. Also I had an hospitality of its people. Few man are willing to take a friend from another country and quarter, feed, and allow them to live in luxury, let alone allowing an entire family experience your kindness. Thank you so much for allowing us to dine with you in some of the finest restaurants Croatia had to offer, for your careful, and wonderful planning of activities we should partake in. Where we would be staying, allowing us to live in your own houses as well as driving yourown car. Most of all, thank you for showing me what a wonderful country Croatia is and making it a memory I will never forget. I'm not sure I will ever be able to repay you for the gratuities. Regardless thank you, and I will forever remember your gift to me, and my family. Sincerely, Tyler Peterson

Dear Boris,

It was great to have met you at Cambridge a couple of weeks ago during
the leadership seminar. As it is always the case when one travels or
takes vacation, there are lots of things to do when you go back to the
office. Nevertheless, I assured myself enough time to read your book
which I finished last night.

I liked it very much. I think it is an "All you wanted to know about
entrepreneurship and were afraid to ask". Moreover, I feel it is one
of the best and more enjoyable management books I ever read. I
identified myself with what you wrote and did in terms of a clear
vision, honesty, hard work, hands on, putting people first, customer
service, focus, execution and good common sense. Thank you for letting
me have it.

Our offer to have you visit our University is still there. I would
certainly like to have you tell your story to our students as part of
our effort to motivate them to go out and start their own business and
generate jobs, rather than look for a job.

Best,

Luis F. Velez
