Hope that all is well – just saw the MP Supplement from Cortec. Read with interest some parts of it and found it very informative. It is well prepared and covers interesting topics of great importance to the industry. Well done to all who contributed and captured the technical information.

Hi Ivana,

I just want to share with you the excitement I felt when I read my email in this newsletter from Cortec. It's so great to feel as a Cortec family member!

Many, many thanks!!

Russ Chelak  @ 17/07/2013 08:07:43

Boris,

Congratulations to you and your bride!

I had a lot of laughs reading your book re: Sealed Air - how true - but I regret not being able to do more work with you. There are not enough people in this world who set goals and get things done.

In any case, it worked out for the best as things usually do in life.

Karen and I will most certainly give you a call if we venture that way. Be sure to do likewise if in the NY area.

Michael Wolfe  @ 16/07/2013 08:07:36

Hello Rick,

I just saw the press rerelease on the new Cortec technology.

If the Cortec sales leadership and distribution network, domestically and abroad do not sell this new product, until Cortec must implement a 4-6 week lead times to keep up with production, then there exists a problem in Mr. Miksic’s sales force.

As I read in Mr. Miksic’s book you gave me, he assisted NASA in a corrosion issue they were dealing with; I know from my Inherently Conductive Polymer programs with NASA and the continued efforts they have in concentrating on corrosion. This penetrating coating should and could potentially resolve some of the biggest corrosion issues which plague or global industry.

Congratulations to the team who created this breakthrough technology Rick. I continue to be a huge fan of Cortec’s arsenal of technologies and capabilities!

Best regards,

Michael Wolfe

Dear Boris,

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this recent promotion to Sales Manager. It’s an incredible opportunity; one that I have not envisioned as a scientist, but a position that I feel will allow me to achieve great things for Bionetix. I look forward to the new challenges and opportunities for growth that this position will afford me.Your willingness to put me in upper management means a great deal to me. I highly value your trust, and will work hard to keep it.

Thanks again, for all of your trust. I will do my very best to bring Bionetix to another level.

Sincerely,

Margarita Kharshan  @ 07/05/2013 08:05:31

Boris,

Thank you for your nice encouraging letter to managers. I just would like to say, that we are on the trip schedule which is close to where Art wanted us to be (I will always remember him). I am on this trip from 1993 (20 years). For these years we went from 10 million in sales to more than 40 million (basically 4 times greater) and from 15-20 products to more than 300 products, which cover all possible industries (most of old products are also upgraded or changed to the new ones with keeping the same name as before). As you remember I was working not only in the laboratory but also as a production manager and I can see huge changes in all Departments of our Company: people, equipment, goals, projects etc. I am sure that to reach the goal of 100 million is very realistic in the coming 3-5 years and I wish Cortec to be there as soon as possible.

With love to Cortec,

Rita

Michael Jang  @ 06/05/2013 03:05:34

Dear Boris

10 years has passed since you gave me the chance of Korea Office and I think I did keep my promise roughly, 1 million in sales. It is still a small part of whole Cortec but I am happy because I am going to make a trip again from 1 million to 10 million in sales as a part of your vision. Yes, I will go to the trip with the New Management Team. I know they are a great team really!

Thank you so much for your past 10 years' care of us and please watch keenly the second stage of Cortec Korea.

with my warmest regards,

Jessica Carpenter  @ 06/05/2013 03:05:34

Thank you Boris, for the email. I am such a fan of Cortec and am so blessed to be a part of it. I hope that we can exceed the expectations you have for our team.

Have a great week.

Bob Boyle  @ 06/05/2013 10:05:28

Boris,

Art was inspirational to me in my career infancy and I appreciate you sharing how he impacted your own development and helped you craft the vision at Cortec. Art always seem to spend a little extra time with me just when I needed it. Even it was a "way to go" or a more strategic insight he offered.

Your note is well timed and itself brings home the importance of the compelling vision that drives us all to share in the sacrifice and the reward.

Thank you for supporting the "young but experienced" managers you have nurtured and trusted. It is an exciting time for all of us and I am reminded daily of the unique opportunities we have together. I look forward to helping make the vision a reality in honor of Art especially!

Bob Boyle

PK Mathew  @ 06/05/2013 01:05:41

Warm Regards

Alec Groysman  @ 11/04/2013 02:04:36

Boris,

I have just returned from the NACE Corrosion conference in Orlando.

When I was in th booth "CORTEC" I saw you book. I took it because your name was familiar me. I read a lot about CORTEC and its chemicals. I deal with corrosion 37 years.

I began to read your book and learned that we have much in common. We belong to the same generation. I was born also in 1948, two days before Israel state.

I lived in Yalta, Crimea and studied in Moscow (Chemico-Technological University named after Mendeleev). I also had many problems with Soviet authority. However, I decided to concentrate on science and engineering. At last I repatriated with my family to Israel. I live in Israel in small settlement Shekhaniya in Lower Galilee.

I worked as a head of corrosion and materials laboratory at the oil refinery in Haifa during the last 22 years.

I teach three courses (corrosion and materials) in Technion in Haifa and Engineering college in Karmiel.

You won the prize "Innovation MP 2013" this year. I won such prize in 2012 for my book "Corrosion for Everybody". I am sure that you also will enjoy by my book as I enjoyed by your book. Because ... I connect corrosion with art, history and philosophy. In short, we have common interests and you interesting person.

Why I write you?

I have suggestion to discuss possibility to organize a meeting (conference etc.) of our generation (who was born in 1948 or in vicinity).

Each personal story is very didactic and enlightening. People (especially young !) should learn the history of our generation.

Kindest regards,

Dr. Alec Groysman

PK Mathew  @ 19/03/2013 12:03:40

Dear Boris,

Congratulations! I am so happy for you and your achievement, because you so richly deserve it and more. You did the entire Cortec family proud and I am glad I could be a part of that journey. My friends and distributors here who responded to my call will only be too pleased to know the result. In fact they have been waiting.

The new President who took over at Orlando, Tushar Jhaveri is a good friend of mine through my Nace India activities. Bob has met him in India last year. If you are still there, might be a good idea to say hi to him.

Take care, continue to innovate and lead Cortec in the years to come.

Warmest regards to you and Ines too.

PK

Thank you for this week, Valentines dinner, today's lunch, and the peaceful week.

I could see the moral at HQ getting even better with your two's presence and no stress. Life will be so much better for all of Cortec.

PK Mathew  @ 02/01/2013 03:01:14

Thanks my friends. It is so gratifying and comforting to see all of you coming together to support me, in whatever way you can. It is immaterial now if I get any evidence on Rolls Royce or not!, but I feel elated and humbled to see the sincerity and supportive spirit in each of you, especially the Sales team, Lab, Customer Service and Marketing,.......or for that matter the entire HQ staff to give whatever information or support that I seek from time to time. Distance is not only a non-barrier, but seems to be actually binding us stronger and together as one Cortec family and I just couldn’t stop me from sharing this spontaneous and genuine feeling with you.

Have a great year ahead and hope to see you all in Sept at the WSM (or hopefully even earlier), by which time I would be very close to completing 20 years with Cortec, thanks to Boris and Anna.

PK
