Boris & Anna,
Thank you so very much for the extra check! The letter meant a lot to me as well. This was so very generous of you to do this for the employees and you really didn’t have to. But, thank you though for appreciating us and being such great bosses and running such a good company, it is a pleasure to work here! J
FYI- The church that Bill & I are members at, Sunrise Baptist Church, is trying to raise funds for the construction of a new facility for the Sunday school for the children’s class. I have been trying to find ways to get extra money to donate to this specific fund and you just made my week with this extra paycheck because I am giving it back to God & our Church. Thank you again for all that you do for us. Have a Blessed day or night.
Thank you,
Katie Surrett

Dear Mr. Miksic,
I hope that you and Inés enjoyed the Around the World trip, and that you’ve had a pleasant return home! Thank you so much for your book American Dream; it was a nice surprise to receive it! I’ve shared it with our office here and people are enjoying reading it.
It was wonderful to meet you both in Orlando before your departure. If there’s anything I can assist you with please feel free to contact me and I’ll be happy to help.
Very best wishes,
Emily

Dear Boris and Ines,

David and I were very happy to have met you on our around the world trip. Boris I'm on page 196 of your book. Since I'm a slow reader, I wanted to write you before I finished the book. I have thoroughly enjoyed your story and thank you so much for sharing it.

One of the new songs I'm learning in my jazz lesson is an old tune, "When You Wish Upon a Star". The song reminded me of you, Boris and of you, Ines. Here are the words:

"When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are,
anything your heart desires will come to you.
If your heart is in your dreams, nothing else is too extreme,
when you wish upon a star as dreamers do.

Fate is kind; she bring to those who love
the sweet fulfillment of their secret longing.

Like a boat out of the blue, fate steps in to see you through.
When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true."

My best wishes to you, Boris, for your next bid to be helpful to Croatia in whatever way you decide. Ines, when I saw the picture of your amberjacks kissing, I understood the desperation you went through when trying to buy the fish kissing necklace. Maybe the kissing fish will end up with a "Munchkin" fish.

Cheers,

Jannie

Dear Mr. Boris Miksic:

You many not remember me, but I met you at the marina in Stillwater, Minnesota in 1997.  I am a dentist, "Dr. Gwen" (boat and slip at Mulberry Point Yacht Harbor) and had the wonderful opportunity to converse with you on several occasions.  I had been following your campaign for the Presidency of Croatia and was truly disappointed with the election of Ivo Josipovic.  I have read your inspiring book, "American Dream" many times (signed by you for me) and have no doubt that at some point in your lifetime you will be able to become a great leader for the people of Croatia.

I live in Florida now (the Daytona Beach area) and if you and your family are ever in the area I would be honored to meet with you again.

Sincerely,

Gwen Traylor, DDS

Attached is a picture I took of one of Boris campaign billboards, in a mall just outside Pula earlier this month! I only spent a day in Croatia (Istra), but everywhere I stopped everyone knew about Boris and a couple of people at a restaurant in Rovinj said they could tell from his face on TV that he is "a good man" and someone who could get things done ... just thought Boris might like to know! Dear Boris,
Again I want to express my Thanks to you for the gift of money for myself & family. You are a very giving person Boris especially in today’s economy. I was just telling Katie that I have to sell some stuff on Craigslist this year for Christmas $$$$$ so I can buy my grandkids their gifts and 2 minutes later Santa walked around our dept.
Thank you! Thank you!
Sincerely,
Barb

Dear Mr. Boris Miksic,

I am writing this support letter to you in english since I am from Canada and it is easier for me to better express myself. I moved to Croatia 14 years ago, I work as an Air Traffic Controller and I live in Rijeka. As many citizens of this country, I cannot voice how important it is for someone of your stature to be the breath of fresh air this country Croatia desperately needs. I can speak on behalf of many who are fed up with the leadership of this country.....there are far too many issues for me to specifically jot down however being that you are from Minnesota I assume you can relate to the former governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura who is in my point of view an outstanding politician and whose character is known for being the outsider and challenging the facts and truth (I have read his book and I have seen many of his interviews I believe he is a stand up man, and someone who can start a revolution ie; his latest book "Don't start the revolution without me", that is what Croatia needs today to survive its future, and you can be that person to start it. ). I hope Mr. Miksic you will run for President and like the last time I and many others will vote for you again. This country is corrupt, war torn, unemployment problems, financial problems, social problems, just to name a few....but I am confident that things can change the citizens of this country simply need a shiny light a beacon of security to follow and I am positive that there can and will be results.
Since I moved to Croatia I am sick and tired of people always complaining but no affirmative action is being made yet alone trying to be made. I want a leader that loves Croatia for what it stands for, to make its children love and be proud of this country not to use it as the so-called politicians today are using their patriotism for personal financial gain.
I wish you the best and may this time make you the new president of Croatia.

Yours Truly,
Johnny Prgesa

I finished reading your book in one breath during this past weekend, prompted by several book requests through the Cortec website. It’s an exciting and enjoyable reading. Best luck on your campaign!

Let me offer my congratulations for your vision and perseverance to achieve being awarded the VpCI exclusively! This will further differentiate Cortec from all the other so called "corrosion protectors."

I really enjoyed the recent Cortec news which is a great way to keep the Cortec family informed.

Dear Boris (and Inez). Many thanks for your hospitality during our visit in Florida. It was great fun! I never believed fishing could be that good and fun but I now understand that finding the right “spot” is what it is all about! The preparation of the fish dinner by Inez was excellent! I already look forward to next time - but then we will have some big grouper also! Once again many thanks for a memorable trip! Best regards Joakim

Boris,

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for the invitation to attend the Cortec, International Sales Meeting, this past week.

We continue to struggle bringing compostable plastic bags [EARTHSAFE™] into the foodservice distribution market, on a value added basis. Perhaps addressing a product utilizing the Cortec/NatureWorks relationship will produce a product and price point which would make the cost more palatable.

The enthusiasm at the meeting is a wonderful example of what can be accomplished when motivated sales people are armed with unique and cutting edge product technology.

Thank you for your most generous hospitality!

Dear Mr. Miksic,

We want to thank you for the opportunity you have given us to
work in your company as interns. This internship has been one of the
most important events that will in a certain way model our future
academic life.

Working in Cortec Corporation was more than pleasant. Our
coworkers were very friendly and eager to help in any way they could,
social and scientific. Working atmosphere was very seminally and
positive. What we particularly liked was team work that wasn't just
formal and that surprised us because it is not easy to achieve that
level of mutual respect. That is something we want to congratulate you
on as a leader of such organization.

We have gained so much from this experience. We learned how to
work in circumstances different from those we were used to. We felt
like we were part of Cortec's team and as ones we tried to contribute
to its growth. Working in Cortec was all about fun because we didn't
think of it as work. We loved our job, enjoyed doing it and were very
enthusiastic about it. We were given an opportunity not a lot of
people can get. To work in a world known company. To do something you
really like and want to do for the rest of your life. It was like a
dream come true.

We want to thank you again for this great opportunity. And we
want to thank our coworkers for their support and generosity. We hope
that you are satisfied with our work there and that we made
difference.

Yours sincerely,
