NEWS ALERT: Cortec® European Distributors Inspired to Sustainability at ESM! |

It was a pleasure to reunite with distributors from Europe and as far away as Indonesia at our 2023 European Sales Meeting (ESM) in Split, Croatia! This year’s business and festivities took place October 11th-13th in the beautiful setting of the Radisson Blu Hotel just a short walk away from the Adriatic Sea. With 70+ attendees representing Cortec® in 20+ countries, it was an exciting time to learn, be inspired, and get a better picture of what is happening throughout the European distribution network.
The meeting got off to an exciting start Wednesday evening, October 11th, as we celebrated the 75th birthday of Cortec® founder and CEO, Boris Miksic, who has poured the majority of his life into the field of corrosion control. The celebration was complete with the performance of a traditional Dalmatian “klapa” band and a stunning display of fireworks to illuminate the night sky.
Two days packed with education, knowledge-sharing, and team-building followed, the clear theme of the meeting being sustainability as an important focus for future growth in the European market and beyond. Mr. Miksic’s state of the company address took an interesting dive into the history of VCI technology before Ivana Borsic shared a European roadmap to sustainable corrosion protection, Dijana Zrinski introduced circular economy and sustainability updates from EcoCortec®, and Ivan Rogan reflected on 25 years of CorteCros®.
Other highlights of the meeting were the presentation of European and EcoCortec® sales awards; a tour of CorteCros® production facilities; a virtual talk by Cortec® COO, Caleb Pheneger, on “Cortec® ‘Going Green’”; a look at CorroLogic® for aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) by Khalil Abed (Cortec® Middle East); and special guest technical presentations from members of the Faculty of the University of Zagreb. One of the last, but certainly not least, events of the gathering was to hear several of our distributors share their own stories of applying Cortec® Technology to real-life situations.
In the middle of an unstable world, the event was encouraging and inspiring. It was also a powerful reminder of the indispensable teamwork of our valued distributors, with whom we look forward to ongoing collaboration until we reunite at the next sales meeting!

Ove izbore ipak je obilježio Boris Mikšić. Dečko s Trešnjevke koji je vlastitim novcem financirao kampanju, gospodarstveniku bez podrške političkih stranaka, drugi krug pobjegao je u posljednji trenutak. Iza sebe je ostavio iskusnu političarku Đurđu Adlešić, HSP-ovu uzdanicu Slavena Leticu, Tuđmanova maga Ivića Pašalića. Građani su nagradili to što je kampanju financirao vlastitim novcem. Njegov uspjeh jasna je i jaka poruka hrvatskih građana političarima - da im sve manje vjeruju. Klasična politička pljuska.
